At the same time, expanding trade, technological progress, and globalization created new development opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>From the 1950s onward, the world faced major changes, including the Cold War, oil crises, the rise of information technology, and the 1997 Asian financial crisis.<\/p>\n<p>Successful nations generally shared several strengths: a long-term vision, social stability, investment in education, strong industrial capacity, and effective technology adoption.<\/p>\n<p>Today, national competitiveness depends less on cheap labor and natural resources, and more on institutions, productivity, technology, human capital, and innovation. South Korea&#8217;s development process shows that importing technology is only the beginning. However, Singapore transformed its geographical location, port, and connectivity into the foundation of an open economy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span dir=\"auto\">The government is focused on building an honest, professional, and efficient administrative apparatus; while simultaneously creating a stable business environment, transparent laws, and infrastructure that meets international standards.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span dir=\"auto\">Singapore proactively attracts FDI but links international capital flows with human resource training, economic restructuring, and the development of increasingly high value-added industries. From labor-intensive manufacturing, the country has gradually progressed to electronics, petrochemicals, finance, logistics, biotechnology, and the digital economy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span dir=\"auto\">A key lesson from Singapore is that small size does not equate to small capacity.
